Welcome to Heybro.social, a safe space for men to connect, share experiences, and support each other on their journeys towards emotional well-being and healthy masculinity. By using this platform, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”).

Heybro.social is a welcoming space for everyone! We understand that men’s mental health experiences can be unique, and we’re committed to fostering open discussions and support for those who identify as men. Whether you were assigned male at birth or your journey of masculinity is different, you’re welcome here.

1. Community Guidelines:

Heybro.social is built on the foundation of respect, kindness, and mutual trust. We encourage open and honest communication, but it’s vital to maintain a welcoming environment for everyone. Here are the core principles to keep in mind:

• Be Kind and Courteous: Treat all members with respect, even during disagreements. Healthy debates are welcome, but personal attacks are not.
• No Hate Speech or Bullying: Harassment, discrimination, or degrading comments based on race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other personal characteristic will not be tolerated.
• No Spam or Promotions: This platform is for fostering genuine connections and support. Self-promotion, unsolicited advertising, and irrelevant links are strictly prohibited.
• Respect Privacy: What’s shared in the community stays in the community. Sharing personal information about other members without their consent is a violation of trust.
• No Sexual Content: Sexual language is only allowed in the context of discussing a relevant issue. Sharing sexual content, including images and videos, is strictly prohibited. Sexual advances towards other members are also not tolerated.
• No Solicitation: Professional services like life coaching or personal training cannot be advertised without admin approval.
• 18+ Only: You must be 18 years of age or older to participate in Heybro.social.
• No “Looking For” Posts: This is not a dating platform. Posts seeking romantic relationships or companionship are not allowed.

2. User Content:

You are responsible for all content you post on Heybro.social. This includes text, images, and links. By posting content, you grant Heybro.social a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, and distribute your content on the platform.

3. Moderation:

Heybro.social reserves the right to remove content that violates these Terms or disrupts the community. We may also suspend or ban users who repeatedly break the rules. A strict member moderation system is implemented:

• Auto-suspend members after being blocked by three members.
• Auto-suspend members after violating activity has been reported by three members.

4. Disclaimer:

Heybro.social provides a platform for communication. We do not endorse the views expressed by users. We are also not responsible for any harm caused by user interactions.

5. Termination:

Heybro.social reserves the right to terminate your account at any time for any reason.

6. Governing Law:

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Who we share your data with

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data
